FISH FEED AND SEED DISTRIBUTION OF FISH FEED AND SEEDS ON SCIENTIFIC AQUACULTURE HELD AT KOLASIB ON 28th NOVEMBER, 2024
The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, located in Kausalyaganga, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, organized a program for the distribution of fish feed and seeds focused on scientific freshwater aquaculture for farmers in Kolasib district, Mizoram, as part of the ICAR-CIFA's NEH outreach activities. The event was attended by 70 farmers from various villages within Kolasib district, along with scientists from CIFA, Dr. Subash Sarkar, and Dr. Ajmal Hussan, and officers and staff from DFDO’s Office Kolasib.
Each farmer received 1000 nos of fish seeds (400 nos Catla & 600 nos Rohu) on the occasion and will receive 125 kgs of fish feed each by the first week of December 2024. The two scientists elaborated on the huge potential the district possessed and suggested the farmer participants to adopt scientific technologies of ICAR-CIFA to increase farm production and income and also narrated different technologies developed by ICAR-CIFA and briefed the objective of the events.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Lalruatfela, DFDO Kolasib.
