The scheme started actual implementation during 2004-2005 and continued till date with the following Officer/staff:-

Technical Assistant - 1no.
Investigator - 2nos
The Scheme is 100% funded by Govt. of India towards salary of staff and other infrastructure development. Under the Central assistance the Department has developed I.T facilities in the Directorate and 8(eight) Districts viz:- Aizawl, Lunglei, Saiha, Kolasib, Mamit, Lawngtlai, Serchhip and Champhai for transmitting various information resources of fisheries data to the Ministry after undertaking survey of resources and fish/fish seed production of the state.
