Under the scheme, there is provision for assisting the farmers to set up cage/ pen-culture units along with supply of inputs viz:- seed, feed, manures etc. The Scheme also takes care of open waters i.e Capture fisheries in Rivers and Reservoirs covering all major rivers of Mizoram in the aspects of conservation and awareness programme. Two Reservoirs viz:- Serlui ‘B’ reservoir and Teirei reservoir have been covered under ranching programme with fingerlings of economic variety under NFDB scheme for commercial fish culture.
