The Achievements/progress made under NLUP in the last five years are mentioned below:
2010 – 2012:
1st phase: 1447 nos. of beneficiaries were given assistance for construction of fish pond @ Rs.56,000/- in cash and in kind (inputs) of Rs.44,000/- in 1st phase. The District wise beneficiaries nos. are given below:-

2012 – 2014:

2014 – 2015:

Note: All the beneficiaries in the districts were given training in fish culture practice for skill development
1st phase & 2nd phase has already been completed and 3rd and 4th phase, only Rs.10,000 each/beneficiary released for clearing/weeding/site development of the project.
2015 – 2016:
- 2578 beneficiaries has been covered under 1st & 2nd Phase NLUP and started production.
- Under 3rd & 4th phase NLUP, 825 nos. of beneficiaries has been assisted for construction of 0.5 Ha. of ponds. Supply of necessary inputs (fish seeds, nets, fish feed etc.) to the beneficiaries is in progress.
- Pilot Project of Paddy-cum-Fish Culture under NLUP has been implemented in Champhai and Serchhip district covering a total area of 800 Ha. enabling the assisted farmers to produce 1-1.5 quintal/hectare of table size fishes in addition to the paddy production.
